I'd switch from Canon entirely. Canon can't even fix the banding!!

Yeah, but Canon has it where it counts as a company: supply chain/logistics. =p

Nikon shouldn't be announcing any new products until they can actually manage to supply their existing ones, imho, lol.

Like Canon has handled the 1DX--and the last batch of superteles?

Canon has to find a way to meet these challenges from Nikon while doing their usual song and dance of protecting their segmented product lines. It's not going to be easy, I see a Frankencamera coming early in 2013.

I'm fine with that. I'm not even interested in the 5D III at all since there's nothing ground breaking about it.

I'm not sure if they can do it at this time. The D800 is really not all about the megapickles. It is more about it's new sensor tech, together with the MP.

The Exmor sensor is really something else, and I think Canon will need some time to catch up.
We have no clue what the 120 MP sensor canon has can do. For all we know it can best the Exmor sensor from Sony.

You mean like the great supply/chain on the 1D X? Or the great R&R on the 1D X? Yup I see the advantage

From what I understand, the 1D X is now delayed till June. Sheesh!

That's what I've seen too. I am curious about what "phenomenon" they're fixing on it.

Don't worry as June will approach and it will get delayed again They should have announced it as a concept instead of placing a release month on it.

I am seeing a huge opportunity for Nikon's entry level full frame. They could release their D600 without the exmor sensor and pretty much the same specs as the 5D3, minus the high FPS. This would steal minimal sales from the D800, but a whole lot of sales from Canon.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went through with this. It would be genius and funny at the same time.

Except that they couldnt ship enough to even affect sales in one region let alone globally.
