The Digital Rebel, a.k.a. Canon 300D, came out a couple of years ago, and it is a 6 megapixel camera. The Digital Rebel XT, a.k.a. Canon 350D, came out this year, and it has 8 megapixels. There are also smaller, more subtle differences.

The Body size and weight are also significant changes, the XT being a smaller lighter model as well as packing more punch and having a few extra functions built in... a full review, which makes comparisons to the Earlier model can be found here...

I know my camera hasn't grow'd up yet. But its a great camera. I love my XT. Yes, if I had the money I would have the 5D. But I don't.

Maybe its like the Ford XT wait maybe that's XLT.

Let's not forget the extra features the XT has, like selectable AF/metering modes, etc...

XTreme! lol just cuz everything seems to be extreme to seem cool (more of a marketing trend in the past couple of years than it is now, but still prevalent)

Yeah, they were trying to capitalize on the extreme sports movement. Thank god that has mostly passed us now.
