Default What lenses to take?

Grrrrr... decisions decisions... what lenses to take on my photography/wildlife (mainly birds but some mammals) holiday in Spain on Saturday - it's in the mountains, so with that in mind...
300mm f/4 and the 1.4 extender for wildlife is going.
16-35mm f/2.8 is going for scenery.

But which one of these (I can't take both).
100mm f/2.8 Macro would be great for flowers and so forth.
70-200mm f/4 is a good medium zoom.

Thoughts...

Heh! What do you say to the guy who has, well, a lot of good gear? Hey, I feel for ya man!

But I do understand the choices you have to make, especially if you are packing that 300 for wildlife! I personally might tend to leave the 300 at home, pack the other three, then dedicate another trip for the birds and critters...

Personally, I love the 100mm 2.8L Macro. I'd be taking the 16-35 and the Macro and then deciding between the 70-200 and the 300... But of course, I'm biased since those are the exact lenses I have (minus the 300 - which I have no experience with)...

At recent seminar Darrel Gulin, Canon Explorer of light, told me what he equipment he routinely carries into the field.

Two 5DII bodies
16-35
24-104
100-400
The usual accessories of flash, batteries, CPL...etc.

Note the minimum overlap in lens range.

I would bring the 100mm or I would get a 500D closeup achromatic lens to put on your 70-200.

Well, those three lenses, along with the 100mm Macro, are my "out and about kit" lenses.
