Only had access to my 70-200 + 1.4x TC.. SO quite the heavy crop! But here is my moon shot. Handheld of course at ISO 160... Plenty of light to not need a tripod with how bright it was! Even at f/8. Not sure why it was only at 265mm, must of spun the focal ring a bit

But other myths prevail...like which way the water spins going down the plug-hole! Because low pressure weather systems in the northern hemisphere turn counter clockwise and ours turn clockwise , people assumed that the water going down the plug may work in the same way! So, in the spirit of the true scientist, which I am not, I decided to conduct an experiment as I sailed across the equator in my schooner. It wasn't a great success!

I watch the super moon as rising over San Bernardino mountain facing Mojave desert this Saturday May 5th form top of the mountain.
This is my initial take of Super Moon. Yes its barely visible but it is so far the first in this thread as everyone else got the bigger fuller one as told by media. Yes moon was as beautiful as ever, when it gets full, to create on special moon rise and full moon night, but anyone who tells me this was a clearly brighter, bigger moon than last month, something that one can see for him/herself, is a suspicious person (Media Brain washed) IMHO. Nice moon is a nice moon. Now if mathematicians and astronauts found out that it mover in an elliptical circle and is a tad closer to us at this particular night, only to be repeated in 14 months form now, I say; Let them say it. I enjoy it like every month before or to follow and though I can not appreciate any size or brightness change, it is the same beautiful moon with same mysterious effect on human mind. Disappointed? No; Seen something new? No. Was I bored? Definitely No.

I shot the last one there #24. They saw it on Flickr and contacted me last night about using it, blew me away. I wasn't even going to put that one up originally

I started a thread but nobody has posted any of their shots. Considering all the white lenses, I know some of them are on this forum. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/....php?t=1182036

I took my Canon HFM50 out down the street last night hoping to catch the 99% full moon coming up and hoping color would still be there . In the movie it looks pale yellow but it was actually slightly orange/yellow mixture . I did this hand holding the camera .
