I have seen that it is big moon day. I have borrowed a canon 55-250 for the shoot tonight. I have never shot the moon with a t2i before, I was hoping you guys could give me some aperture and shutter speed tips for taking moon shots thanks!

FWIW, set the camera to aperture priority mode (Av), set your aperture to about f/9, ISO to 100, manually focus (a tripod may be helpful too) and take the shot. I usually dial down the exposure compensation too - -2 to -3 EV to drop the exposure of the moon a bit.
