Default Adobe RAW converter 2012 (LR4/CS6)

i haven't seen many topics on this (or maybe my search skills are weak), but the RAW converter is a fair bit different from the one i'm used to...i think it's an improvement, but is forcing me to change the way i edit my photos....the exposure slide only affects midrange, and you've got separate control on shadows and highlights. also, the white and black sliders offer additional control.

just curious as to others' experience and if it's changed their approach to RAW editing.

i likely need to spend more time w/ it, but it's hard to break old habits.

Have a look at the LR4 threads. This is more or less the same as ACR7, both having the new work flow.

The new sliders in ACR7 take a little getting used to, but imo they work so much better.

I think the set up is absolutely fantastic. I have no previous experience with LR as I just purchased 4 recently. I just mentioned in another thread I am doing a little real estate photography. I need to get in and out pretty quickly and don't always have time to set up additional lighting to evenly light every room if the living, dining and occasionally the kitchen are in the same shot. With this set up it is so easy to balance everything out and the NR is great. I could not stand LR/ACR two years ago and now I just love it.
