Default Tele adapters

I have an SX30 with the 35 times optical zoom, is there any point in getting a tele adapter? what if any advantages would I get, how about a wide angle adapter?

You might want to read this FAQ sheet on the Lensmate website concerning tele and wide converters hanging off the end of the SX30, and others of it's lineage.
