Default Need help figuring out what lens to get!

I am an automotive photographer, and I am trying to find a Wide angle lens that is under 1,100$ For my photo shoots!! I have been looking at this one http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EF-S-17-...6760664&sr=8-1. I need one that wont give me a fish eye look, like my current one is doing I do moving shots of cars, still shots, up close and far away shots so i can get landscape in the photo with the car! I need one that will also do well at night. Please help! Thanks!

Well any UWA lens will distort the car, thats just physics. What body are you shooting with? For night shots, you would most likely use a tripod so you don't really need a low aperture lens.

For crop, look at the 10-22 from Canon.

For full frame, look at the 17-40 f/4 or the 16-35 f/2.8 II.

Actually, seeing as you chose the 17-55 Im inclined to think that you have a crop sensor. What lens are you shooting with now and dont like the results from?

I am shooting with the canon 60D body. And right now I am using a adorama rental, which is the http://www.adorama.com/CA24105AFU.html. And i get good shots, but I dont really like it. What I am trying to do is have a lens I can use for rolling shots, shots in small spaces with cars like garages, so being able to be close to the car but have the whole car in view, and be able to have the car in a landscape kind of view. and with the lens I am renting I have to stand further away . How does the 10-22 work with all those?

Besides rolling shots, which you would have to be pretty close to the subject to get a decent shot, the 10-22 nails all the things you mentioned.
