Default Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home review (56k warning)

so i FINALLY got my Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home and the Winker L. I have a Lowepro Offtrail I, but i found out its really hard to use this bag (buy a Slingshot AW instead would be my advice) so I bought this. Ill be selling this on internet auction soon.

I walk around Tokyo most of the times, and you know how fashion matters to these Japanese ppl. So i wanted something that didnt scream out "I HAVE A SLR!", which lead me to Crumpler.

pics taken with a Sony Cybershot L1.

this is what it holds. it also had a pen and an extra battery but i forgot to take it out for this pic. oops .

this is what camera stuff it will hold...and this is all the lenses I own. I might add a flash unit, but that would be it.

the nifty Winkler L. It holds my iPod (4G 20GB) in a perfect snug. its even got a hole for my Shure E2c earphones.

accesories...daily contacts (just in case), chapstick, etc would fit in the mesh pocket inside there.

card case, and other small camera accessores like filters would go here. I love the Crumpler zipper thingy.

not sure if this is a pocket, but I always stick my extra battery and pen in there

thats how it looks. Im about 175cm/5'8". notice the hot model (LOL)

the bag is awesome. if you dont carry a lot of equipment (SLR body w/o grip with the nifty fifty, and 1 or 2 more lens), this bag would be the bag for you. The only complaint i have is the fact that Crumpler made the shoulder pad an option. and i cant find a store that carries that optional shoulder pad. I walked with all that stuff around the dense metro tokyo (up and down the subway, streets) for about 3 hours, but my shoulders didnt get sore that much. The shoulder strap at the bag is angled so i think thats what makes it more comfy. You can also even take the shoulder strap out and use the little holder on top of the bag.

its kinda pricey (at about $100), but this fulfills my needs and even wants so I am really happy with this.

Hey Coco-Puffs,

Thanks for this, I've been wanting to get a Crumpler bag for ages but there are no stores here in Vancouver that seem to carry them so I've been reluctant to order one but after seeing this I think I'll make the jump.

Thanks!

Those Shure's are great phones ... shame about the iPod tho

Looks like a great bag. I should have got one as my Stunner is now too small since I bought a couple of extra lenses and a flash. I don't really want to carry my Computrekker around every time. Maybe I should sell both and get the one bigger Crumpler.

Hey Coco, can you fit all 4 of your lenses in that bag?
I thought it's only got three compartments...
Do you think I can put 17-40L, 50mm, 85mm, 70-200L and a 350D in there?

yes, they are awesome, but my Sennheiser headphones were better for the music i listen to. and the iPod...i know. but carrying around few thousand songs was just too tempting.

no, you wont be able to fit all that. My EF25 is an macro extention tube. it sits below my 50mm (which is attached to my camera). for all that gear, youll probably need a Tallie or something bigger. actually, i almost got a tallie

Maybe I'll carry my 17-40L, 70-200L and 50mm with my 350D and leave my 85mm home... Do you think a 70-200L fits in this bag at all due to its length?

Thanks a lot for the pics again, Coco...
I didn't know they're that deep cause according to their website the measurements are only 10.2x7.9x5.5 inches
If it's 18 inches deep, I think 70-200L should fit since it's only like 7 inches long.
Just placed the order last night on this Crumpler 5 million dollar home. It should be here tomorrow...
