Battleship Iowa on the move, a good photo op?

For those on the West coast, the Battleship Iowa is about to be moved from San Francisco Bay to the Port of Los Angeles, where it will become a museum.

Next Sunday the Iowa will be guided under the Golden Gate Bridge and out of the S.F. Bay.
For several days, the Iowa will anchor 3 miles off Seal Beach, then be towed to the Port of Los Angeles Outer Harbor. The Iowa makes its grand entry on June 9 when tugs will tow it the final two miles to San Pedro's Berth 87. Public tours begin on July 7.

I'd like to hear from those who are familiar with the Port of Los Angeles and San Pedro's Berth 87. Perhaps they can give us some shooting location suggestions. My guess is that a lot of this area has restricted access.

When the Iowa leaves SF Bay on Sunday afternoon, it will be escorted out the Golden Gate by the SS Jeremiah O'Brien, a restored WWII Liberty ship. It should make for an interesting photo op.
