Hi folks,
Many digital cameras have a delay when I push the button. I need to photograph puppies for my web site and also want a camera I can photograph my daughter playing sports with. My budget is about $1000-$1500. I've had a Nikon F4 and am familar with photgraphy (it's been a while but I had a studio 18 years ago), just not the Canon line. The $1000 needs to include a lens. I "think" my Nikon difgital flash (a few years old) will work with the canon system. I'll buy a flash separately if need be. Suggestions would be welcome. I have a stroboframe also. I also need a HD video camera for the same web site if anyone knows of a good one. I'm budgeting $1000 for that also. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Moby : 18th of May 2012 (Fri) at 16:11. |

Any of the following with the twin lens kit should do the trrick for both still pics and movies... and depending on price where you are, you may be able to splash for another lens and/or flash as well.

Well I settled on a Canon EOS 7D
All the bells and whistles I want and an excellent camera. It came today. The 32 GB card was supposed to come today also. But I assume it will be here tomorrow. Frustrating, but I have a real slick unit now. Can't wait to start shooting. Thanks folks. |

I absolutely LOVE my 7D and I suspect you will learn to love yours.
Don't forget to try its fantastic autofocus for action shots. It is hard to beat the 7D for action photography... 7D with 70-200mm f/4L IS lens, ISO 400, aperture priority, AI Servo AF. low speed burst mode. (The HS burst sounds like a machine gun) ![]()

I want a 7D sooooo bad. But my T2i will have to do for a good while. Maybe one day I'll learn enough about using it to justify the upgrade.
