Default Photographing a TV for "Screenshots"

I need to acquire some screenshots for some videogames. What settings should I use on the camera? Will I need any specific filters to reduce distortion or any other unwanted affects?

I have an LCD tv with a 120hz refresh rate. The screens i will capture are all HD.

I'm also open to other suggestions if you know of a better way to get screenshots without using a camera.
