Default Time Lapse Photography

I was think about getting a G9 for time lapse. Anyone do any time-lapse with the G series camera? Recommendations? examples ?

I have a G9, but only used the time lapse movie feature once to observe how much a faucet was dripping. Not worth looking at really. However, a Google search will provide other folk's video postings from this feature. Here's one such link;

The G9 really does not have a true "time lapse" feature as such. Also, the feature listed as time lapse is limited to 640x480 pixels with 1 or 2 seconds delay. The shots are then assembled into a 15 fps movie. I much prefer the G1X or G12 even though an external intervalometer is needed; see my post at http://lightdescription.blogspot.com...ime-lapse.html .

Liverpool1 do you have any tips on how you set up your timelapse. They are quite impressive!

Saturnine,
Thanks for the compliment.
In general, this is what I did
Equipment : intervalometer and a tripod
Camera setting : Set it to full manual mode (no auto)
Software : edit in Lightroom and compile video in Quicktime Pro.
Useful Links : http://timelapseblog.com/

Hope it helps
