While in Zion last year, this is what cut my trip short. About a half hour after this shot came the thunder and lightning which lasted for two days. As I was told by the locals, once these kind of clouds come in they remain sort of in a vortex pattern, swirling into the canyons, then out, then in, then out. It was beautiful but horrific at the same time.
