Not a small rural community. I am in the Bay Area, on the east side of the Bay. You can see San Francisco when it's not to foggy.

The former house we were renting backed onto a large communal rice paddy, a classic example Geoism. This was right in the suburbs of Vientiane.

Taken from my back verandah.
