I have used blankets and quilts as backdrops. I'll put the baby on a bean bag, and cover the bean bag with a blanket/quilt. I'll have the blanket/quilt behind this held up by the parent or by a piece of furniture.
Here's an example: ![]() IMG_2708 copy by Marilyn Johnson Photo, on Flickr I just do this for fun for my friends kids. So I don't have backdrops either. So I just use things I find around my house. I think wrapping them is nice, too. You can add color to the photos this way. Plus they stay warm and happy. ![]() IMG_2682 by Marilyn Johnson Photo, on Flickr That's my two cents. Congrats!!

CONGRATULATIONS....and I must say he is just pure cuteness!!!
I'm a huge fan of natural images....meaning documentary style images (including his room, his family / pets / teddies in the images, taking images in the living room or kitchen even the bathroom) I know the documentary style is not as popular as the "posed" images I do in studio all the time, but being the parent you have the option of doing this and I feel that you will love those images more then the posed ones (I know I do of both my boys).... as far as clothing etc, wraps are great (especially if he likes them right now)....I would also take shots of all the little things about him (nose, hands, feet, bellybutton, ear, hair, mouth, etc) by the way...love your image!

Thanks guys, I actually followed Marilyn's idea, put him on my sofa with white linen. But he was awake lol so couldn't pose. Again it's natural expression of him
