Default Wildlife in South East UK

Other than Whipsnade, can anyone highlight some locations that offer wild life photography opportunities?

I guess you mean wildlife in cages? The British Wildlife Centre in Surrey would fit the bill. They have special photographer's days.

Not necessarily, more just places where you see stuff, fauna & birds.

If you like birds, I heartily recommend the Hawk Conservancy Trust near Andover.

Minsmere is my favourite for photography. Time it right and you've got good sunlight direction from all the hides.

In addition to the BWC, you have

London Wetlands Centre, Barnes.
The Wildlife Heritage Foundation - Big Cats, where they arrange photography groups, you can get up close to the animals here.
There is also Howletts Zoo in Kent.
Port Lympne Zoo also in Kent
There is also the Wolf Conservation Trust which offers photography visits, which is between Reading and Newbury

As well as Richmond Park for the deer.

You might also like to take a look at The 15th UK South-East "Has anyone seen Wayne?" Thread (All Welcome)

A thread here dedicated to people in the SE of the UK. We organise a lot of activities throughout the year offering many different experiences.
