I'd stick around to take more, but I've got a meeting to catch.

Didn't get a chance to get a solar filter. God willing, I hope my sensor's okay.

100-400 @ 400mm + 2x extender + 3-stop B+W ND + UV filter + CPL. 1/8000s iso100. Even dropped the exposure on this in post by -1.3 stops and highlight reduction. This ball of fire we have up in the skies is HAAAWWWT.

Thanks Dave and Rick. When I got off of work early today, I looked up at the skies and I had nothing but clear blue skies. Sorry to rub it in on you Dave. :)

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Hope your sensor (AND YOUR EYES) are ok, VERY DANGEROUS to be doing this with nothing but a 3 stop ND filter. The CPL does NOTHING pointed directly at the sun other then add more unnecessary glass to the shot.

Yeah, I didn't think the CPL would do too much. I surely wasn't using it for its intended purpose. I figured if it looks a wee-bit darker, then it will at least help cut down 1/3-1 stop of light. I didn't do much staring into the viewfinder, at least not with my eye near the cup. Typically is just to help align it and then switch over to live view. I'll see how things go but assuming all go according to plan, I may pick up a solar filter for the full eclipse coming in 2017. I've got a little while before that happens. :D
