Camping would definitely be the way to go though.

My aim is to make it over there, but don't have the funds to fly over at the mo. But next year, perhaps?

Camping is the way to go. Fortunately/unfortunately, I have a baby due a week before it starts so I may have to miss this year! We're planning next year though!

Please excuse my ignorance, but what's so special about camping?
Doesn't the area have enough motels/hotels?

Sounds like the mother of all air shows. On my bucket list.
