Default cell phone towers

youll never guess what i saw for the first time today while on the freeway. now ive seen these online but never in person, but a cell phone signal repeater tower disguised as a palm tree (a metal palm tree ). gonna watch out for ones disguised like oak trees tomorrow! haha. forgive me for the faint lines running across the pic, this was taken out of the back window of the car i was riding in

Love these. I have a picture of one somewhere disguised as a windmill, I've seen them a lot as flagpoles (about a foor in diameter ), there's one between Denver and Castle Rock that is disguised as a pine tree.

Absolutely. I'll see if I can't find the pic....

Here it is, a terrible shot, but this didn't look like a "real" windmill at all, notice the ladder going the full length to the top, it was much taller than most windmills. You can see the cell antennas on the sides at the top. It may or may not be a working windmill but it's definitely a cell tower.

I have seen those around a few times, particularly in PA during my travels.... I could never figure out what they were, or why they would dress them up to look like a tree when there were no other trees nearby.......

Now I know......
