I would love it if it was not for the lens distortion. It makes her legs look to lang and her head too small.

Probably the last couple of images I'll post from my now departed 1DX:

Have you upgraded, Mark?

I discovered to my cost that the 1DX is not downpour-proof. After 50 mins of heavy rain it packed in and would not trip the shutter. However, after a good dry-out, it's back to normal and now has a brand-new Aquatech rain coat! (What a pain to use though.)

I wasn't using it much recently Annie. Also, I wanted a Fuji GFX, so the 1Dx went in p/ex for that.

Cracking pictures in this thread.

On a more boring note.
I got my 1DX2 yesterday and it does what it says on the tin.

One thing that's troubling me is:
I am using both card slots. I set the preferences so that the Cfast card is the primary recording media and the CF for if or when the Cfast fills up.
Every time I remove and replace the Cfast card, the camera starts to use the CF card in preference.

Is this normal? It's a pain if I don't notice it.

Yes, it's normal. Since you remove the card you are using, the camera defaults to the other one, so that it can still store your photos, should you take any. What definitely works is first remove the CF card, then the CFast card. Put the CFast card back first, then the CF card.
What maybe works is removing and re-inserting the CFast card with power off. I haven't tried that.

Or transfer images using USB 3.0. That works too, since you don't remove the card then.

With the power off it will do exactly the same thing.

Hm...

I usually record to CF first (because I'm too lazy to get another USB 3 cord to keep my CFast reader connected full-time, and because while I still shoot some with my 5D4 and 7D2, it's just easier/more economical to keep the CF reader connected 95% of the time). But my card slots don't switch UNLESS I close the door. The key is not closing the door.

You can give that a try and see if it prevents the order from being screwed up.
