Default Traditional Family Event

Dear all, I'm planning to take part of one Traditional event (as I never did before) and I would like to promote my business in this event but I'm struggling to decide what to do.

I'm sorry if this is not the right topic to post this question.

It will be a traditional event where the children will be wearing fancy dresses. My main goal is to promote my business. I'll be offering a 1h photo session in a raffle. But I'm confused about my stall. Taken that I'll have the basic promotional material: photo books, folders, banners etc.

This is Charity event, therefore, the idea was to fund raise the promotional gift and donate the funds to the charity.

1. The idea is to offer a free quick shot of children dressed and print out a 3' x 4' polaroid photograph as a promotional gift. I was planning to mount a white backdrop (Lastilite Collapisble) plus 2 or 3 flashguns. 1 softbox and 2 umbrellas. (for this, I'll need to bring my 5D Mk2 plus laptop and buy a Polaroid printer.)

or

2. Buy JUST a Polaroid camera, take the photograph without any extra light, just using the white backdrop.

or

3. Don't give any promotional gift and just give 1 or 2 free photo sessions for the raffle.

I'll be very happy for any reply, concerns, critics help...

Cheers,

Leo

I guess it depends on how much space you have. Either go all out and set up lights or just do the raffle. If you are trying to promote yourself you dont want to do anything just ok, shoot for the best you can so you impress your future potential clients

You might also consider offering the photos you take as downloads, rather than prints, and then hand out a promotional piece for your company.
