...with the Blue Angels, of course.

That's the good news. The bad news is that we have to wait more than a year

Don't remember, attended two shows both in the 90s.
Maybe others can answer. But it's near the ocean, and that area
can get overcast and foggy.

Looks to be a lot like Miramar. However, Mugu has two runways at approximate right angles to other so it depends on where the spectator line show center are. I've never attended the show, so I can't say...

Given that the short runway is really short, I'd be inclined to think you face west there...

Looks similar to El Centro in layout. Probably use the short runway for Helos and T-34s while the tactical stuff uses 3/21.
