Hello... Does anyone know if you are supposed to offer return/refund options to an item sold here at POTN if your gear was received in as-described condition? I have been thinking about selling a couple of lenses here that are both cosmetically and most importantly mechanically in good working condition. I just want to make sure how to react if i sold it and then my buyer asks for a return/refund.

I think if you advertise them accurately with photos you shouldn't have a problem with refund requests.

^^^ If you have the details posted and they can see what they are getting into then I don't see why not. The issue is because of people that try to hide the problems till after the fact.

You are not obligated to return/refund anything unless the buyer takes legal action and you loose the case.

POTN doesn't police the marketplace for buying/selling issues. You can offer a refund or not. There isn't a rule either way. Be sure to disclose any issues so you don't have to deal with a return request.

Maybe it's a Massachusetts thing but I'm of the school of thinking nope, just for the fact I don't want to have to deal with folks that all of a sudden get buyers remorse. Why should a seller have to take it on the chin because someone gets cold feet after the transaction or because they didn't clear it with their spouse and are now in hot water?

I don't think that happens very often at all. It should not even be a factor when considering to sell something.
