Spiders, dead wasp and something else

A collection of shots from earlier this week, while I was on vacation (holiday, for those of you on the eastern side of the Atlantic).

A 5-shot stack and a couple close-ups of a dead wasp that I found on my front steps. It's so much easier with a non-moving subject...

Don't know if this is a small wasp, or some kind of fly.

Don't know if this is a small wasp, or some kind of fly. __________________ T1i (500D), A2E film body, Tokina 11-16, Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon 85 f/1.8, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC telescope, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.
