It's very interesting. And I can't help but wonder if the testers are color blind or biased against the 1DX. It's plain to me that the 1DX shows more contrast in the sky and substantially more color, yet the testers claim that the results between the cameras are essentially the same.

My take away from the review is that the 1DX seems somewhat more sensitive to light and color. Take the very first set of images in the test. The 1DX shows a more punch in the star clusters and the purple/magenta color in the sky is quite pronounced. Since they used the same lens for all four cameras, they've done a good job of normalizing every condition except camera body, so it seems like a pretty good test.
