I think it looks pretty nice. Why do you think it wouldn't make it to a.net (which I don't know about)?

If I remember correctly, doesn't a.net do extreme screenign of shots? I think editing it may invalidate the shot, but if I had to recommend anything, I'd say something along the lines of darkening the background, it just looks really gre(a)y to me.

Editing like sharpening, contrasting, etc is allright...but further manipulation is not allowed. Maybe a tighter crop might do the trick.

Nice shot! If you have the room, a bit more room at the front of it would give it space to "fly into".
The pic is a bit big to post here, though.

Don't waste your time with airliners.net. You will never run into a more anal group of screeners. Many avaition photographers who make a living in photography, stay far away from airliners.net. Your better off showing your stuff on your own website.

That's a nice shot.

What people have said about A.net is correct. They're very tough, and we all go through our rants of why we hate them so much, yet some, such as myself, still send in a few shots. Guess I feel it's a waste to have a couple hundred pics on there, and no more...

If you were to upload this one, i would only recommend changing the mid levels further left. Ie, make the image a bit brighter to get some more detail out. Also your sensor seems very dirty, as mine always is
There's over 50 dust spots on this. (Equalize function on photoshop, if you don't know)
Also then with the final image at 1024 pixels, you'll need some USM, and if you want to get picky, as many seem to be, and screeners almost seem to expect it.. Multiple layers, lots of USM, and then use the history brush to erase the jagged lines on the leading edge of wings, where the sharpness issues appear first). But I say stuff that, I do USM at 200%, 0.2, 0 twice over, and leave it at that. Some get rejected for Bad Soft, and some for Bad Jagged. You can never win.
