Default Broke my new Hensel Integra Pro 500 :(

I have purchased Hensel Integra 500 Plus Freemask 2 Light Kit 2 months ago at BH Photo Video. Yesterday, my flash unit fall on the ground - protective glass dome got broken and flash tube is also damaged but still functional. Two small pieces of glass on flash tube got broken but not entirely (a link to image). I just wonder what is the purpose of these two pieces of glass and if flash unit can work normally with these two broken pieces.
Also, piece of broken protective glass dome got inside the flash unit and when I would shake a flash unit a little bit it would fire the flash randomly. After I took that piece out these random flashes disappeared. I wonder if it really has anything to do with this piece of glass or something else could be broken?

So far everything works normally except I don't have protective glass dome. Does protective glass dome have any other function besides protection?

I live in Croatia so it's a bit expensive for me to send flash unit via mail if damage is small so if anyone has some tips I would appreciate it very much.
Do you think it's possible to continue using flash unit in this condition?

Regards,
Ilija

Default Re: Broke my new Hensel Integra Pro 500 :(

Just got a fast response from Hensel Germany:

Quote:
The two glass tubes are used as insulation of the two electrodes on the tubes.
If these tubes are damaged, you should not touch to the flash tube, if the device
is turned on.

The glass domes are mainly necessary for the protection. It is on your side whether
you use it or not.

If the flash unit works now without the piece of glass inside, it looks that the unit is fine.
