One of my favourite drag racing photos. Mathew Abel's Top Doorslammer (similar to the Pro Modified class as defined by the NHRA).
Best time 5.981 (1/4mile / 402metres). I like all the cracks and damage to the body, most probably as a result of tyre shake.

Orlando Speed world.... Did used to be called Central Florida Dragway? near Bithlo on rt 50?
I moved from the area 40 something years ago. Saw some great cars way back then. Bo Laws had some awesome looking Chevys, all black with gold accents Ahhhhh another trip down memory lane.

I don't recall it being Central Florida Dragway, but from your description, it's the same place. I remember the Bo Laws cars too. Do you remember Lil Bull, and his black '68 Camaro? Here's what the car has looked like for the past several years.

Milan Dragway in Michigan. they hold a Detroit Dragway Reunion every year and bring all the nostalgia cars out. Gassers, Funny cars and some exhibition vehicles
