Default Damsels embrace

Went to Pitt lake near me, to go for a nature walk. Not to much bird action. But I noticed the damsels in action. They're so small, and they were several feet from the shore. Dissatisfied with crappy distance shots, I looked around and nobody was around...... so I stripped to me undies and waded in the swamp water to get closer, lol. Surprisingly there were no leeches.

This one makes me lol every time. It is an odd sight, that they are mating side by side isn't it? I went to change my settings and they buggered off, so just this one, but at least I got it.

Excellent captures.

I was always fascinated by damsels when I was a young guy fishing at the riverbank.

It is a fairly secluded area, at least. There is the main lake which is flanked by dikes that are about a couple miles long. On the other side of the dikes are marshes and swamps, that have trees, tall grass and bushes scattered about. You can at least see people walking down the dykes, for the most part. So I was fairly certain I wasn't going to be disturbed. If not I might have just gone in with my pants on They'd dry off.

I've often thought about purchasing hip waders, but dang that would be hot if I didn't go in the water!
