Very cool shots, from a perspective few get to see. Thanks for posting.

Nice! I saw Endeavor last month at the Intrepid Air and Space Museum. Terrific exhibit. The thing was big...

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror. The root cause will be there.

Wish I could be there to see Endeavour. I was fortunate to get shots of Discovery being flown in and Enterprise before being flown out. You got some good ones, thank you for posting them.

Wow! Those are great photos. I'm not sure I can capture anything close to that. I went scouting out locations today. If I shoot anything good I will post them.

Bob.

This is being composed on the day of Neil Armstrong's funeral service, September 13, 2012. Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon, was buried at sea today with a full military service. It seems somehow proper that today is the day Toyota publicized that a stock Tundra pickup will be pulling the space shuttle Endeavorexternal link to its final resting place in Los Angeles next month. It is really a day of grieving for the once-mighty United States space program.

Not to mention the US auto industry. Really? A Japanese pickup to pull the American space shuttle. What were they thinking? (money would be my guess)

It that supposed to be a dig at Toyota?

The duo was moved back into the MDD today to shelter it from storms. It will roll back out tomorrow morning at 4AM.

No, it's not a dig at Toyota. Nothing wrong with them. But you'd think for a farewell to a significant part of US space history, we could use an American truck. There are plenty of good ones out there that could do the job. Why not support our auto industry at the same time?
