Wish I could be there to see Endeavour. I was fortunate to get shots of Discovery being flown in and Enterprise before being flown out. You got some good ones, thank you for posting them.

Wow! Those are great photos. I'm not sure I can capture anything close to that. I went scouting out locations today. If I shoot anything good I will post them.

This is being composed on the day of Neil Armstrong's funeral service, September 13, 2012. Neil Armstrong, the first man to set foot on the moon, was buried at sea today with a full military service. It seems somehow proper that today is the day Toyota publicized that a stock Tundra pickup will be pulling the space shuttle Endeavor to its final resting place in Los Angeles next month. It is really a day of grieving for the once-mighty United States space program.

Not to mention the US auto industry. Really? A Japanese pickup to pull the American space shuttle. What were they thinking? (money would be my guess)

Great shots Mike -- looking forward to welcoming Endeavour to JSC (Ellington Field) tomorrow morning.

No, it's not a dig at Toyota. Nothing wrong with them. But you'd think for a farewell to a significant part of US space history, we could use an American truck. There are plenty of good ones out there that could do the job. Why not support our auto industry at the same time?
I got a good shot as it passed over us this morning and I'm fixing to leave to go visit it with the family at Ellington Field.
