Hi Folks,

Thanks to you people, after careful consideration, i have ordered 5d2... :) (was debating between a new 5d2 or a used 1ds2)... the plan is to use 50mm lens predominantly...i do have 100 mm macro and 100-400 to use with it...but once i save up some cash..i am gonna consider 17-40. Landscape and portrait is what my interests are..so i think this set up should be fine. I do plan to go to game reserves..one day..!, i am hopeful my 100-400 will be of good use.

I am coming from 400D...so this should be a sweet change!

Congratulations, you will love it and coming from a 400D you'll be blown away. Just one point I will bring up regarding the 17-40. When I got my 5D2 I had to have that lens as I was used to the 10-22 on the 50D. Surprise surprise, I hardly use it. My 24-70 or 24-105 are far more useful on the FF body. The 17-40 sees more use on my 40D back up body these days.

From cropped to full frame is a magical experience have fun with the greater control of DOF and going wow that the content of this photo sucks but its so sharp and beautiful

Yes, and the price is really low for a full frame.
Now he will crop 100% and be proud of his image quality!

I am!
