Default Semi nude self portrait?

Can I ask how this would be received in the G+N section as you don't see it posted really, especially male?

I ask because I was trying out some single speedlight low key shots on myself and chucked a few of these in just for practice.

Well it's been done before on the forum; mostly in the context of a joke though. It went over we'll as a joke I would say.

There have been a few serious ones over the years. They obviously didn't get the same attention as a nude female but overall I would say they were received well. My opinion is to do it, post it, and if you have any problems with comments then that's what the mods are here for.

Interesting replies. I don't understand why there would be such mixed responses to the previous threads as there should be more than just mostly models.

I don't understand why you would understand there were mixed responses. The only two replies, by Jaymz and myself, both said that semi nude/nude self portraits were recieved well in the past.

First of all there is almost no male nude work here, the fact that you might post a male selfie just adds to the oddity ON THIS FORUM. Slap one up and lets see what happens. If it is good low key work that you want to share, go ahead.

I honestly think there should be more male postings here, it kind of seems one sided to me. The woman's body isn't the only work of art.
