Question, actually 2
Do you normally just present album selections from one company and have the couple pick which one they want or do you present selections from several different (cheap vs mid-range vs expensive) companies and let them decide? Do you get brochures from these companies for the B&G to look at or how do you do it (sample albums perhaps)?

I offer ONE full album style and only ONE style of parents' books. The fewer the choices of packaging the better. The better and more upscale-looking,the better your work will look, and the better your sales will be. It will also help to save you money. If you offer only one style, you can always use leftover components in the assembly of future books. It's also good to sell a very popular style so that you can be sure that the book will be available nine months from the day that you book the wedding.
Include the book in your prices, and refuse to break the book out of your package. Otherwise, you'll wind up with an occasional customer who will try to buy your services but not your book. Every so often I get calls from brides who ask who my book manufacturer is and the model name of the book. I figure that it's a new competitor calling or a bride who just got a belly full of bilge from one of the local snipe shooters. |

Can you refer me to a website that creates the books you're talking about?
I'm thinking of doing weddings but have no idea how one gets the pictures printed and placed in an album, nor how much it costs. Thanks |

Do a search on Art leather or Albums Incorporated. Both of these distributors carry high-end books, though Albums incorporated carries some low-end books. These are traditional albums which you the photographer must assemble yourself. I don't like them and i am looking into other ways of creating a traditional print album that doesn't require a week of work to put together.
Some of the online wedding photohosts also offer a bound album which they print themselves, thus leaving you out of the assembly process. |

The Renaissance line has evolved nicely through the years. Since it is STOCK for AI, I recommend it.
