Default S50 performance as quick shooting camera?

I like taking quick pictures of people's momentary expressions/action/whatever. Wasn't this camera too slow and you lost a picture because of it? I appreciate any input on this. Thank you.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's too slow...I've not had a chance to experiement with catchin' expressions on the spur of the moment, but I'm sure that you could play with the settings to get a nice outcome...

there's a "fast motion" setting in the camera which would be good because you're not going to be steadily holding the camera when you catch quick expressions :P

That's exactly the poit! And how does the "fast motion" setting work? Is it just about the fast shutter speed (short exposure) or is it something else? Thank you.

OK, thank you. I have checked the S50's menus and found out it is a fast shutter mode.
