Just curious but were these shot in RAW or JPEG and if so Par #1 or #2
I find with the 24-70L that on Par. #2 the colours are too strong. Dan

Here are some examples (shot at around f2.8 I believe). ![]() ![]() It is a good lens..........but it's behind the 35 in terms of clarity/color and sharpness. For the price though, the 50 is one of the bargain primes in the Canon line-up. I will see if I can post more pics from the 35L tonight. Ro1 |

You're right P#2 gives too saturated colors........and some noise on the shadow areas. I only use P#2 during a casual party at home when I'm shooting ISO 200 and flash. Ro1 |

I know people do get caught up in L fever, but there can be no argument on this lens. I just love mine.

Good writeup and demo of what this lens can do.
I thought of doing one when I got mine but after reading/viewing yours I'm glad I didn't. It wouldn't have compared well. Congrats on the new baby and I look forward to more of your photos. You do good work. Of course, having access to beautiful women is a HUGE plus. Best Regards |

Oh here they are.... Wheeewww.... Beautiful shots and a wonderful display of the lens capabilities. Thanks for sharing. I'm trying to decide between 35, 85, and 100. 100 is long, but I was looking at it over the weekend. Focuses nice and close, would be sweet for baby toes, but ultimately I think it's too long. 85 gives awesome bokah.... I'm ready to buy something soon.
