Default EE 2.0 screenshots (large) - part 1 (UPDATED)

I'll start posting some screenshots of EE 2.0 dev version. More soon.

1. list page
The top part of template I'm doing: it's like in old EE but there will be no search/sort on top (they are below there) because I want to have the daily user interface as clear and simple as possible. I have also removed form show/hide system from list page - every item you offer must be seen - advanced search form will be done on separate page. This is from Firefox 1.5, XHTML strict - it provides nice colored dropdowns which IE can not color. Every item is part of template.

2. list page navigation dropdown
This navigation dropdown is available anywhere you like in EE, and it provides links to groups (index.php) and listing at the same time. This does not require any additional libraries.

3. list page navigation UDM4 menu
EE2 integrates with any UL based menu system - this menu is built for each user by user permissions and can be placed anywhere you like in templates. If the menu allows it, it can be made horizontal (1st level items show) - whatever you need. Menu appearance is configured from the menu script (in this case UDM4, which I recommend).

4. RSS2
EE2 feeds RSS2 data - here is a view from Firefox's "Sage RSS reader" plugin.

5. Gallery map (site map) - plain
Gallery map shown here in basic form. EE builds the structure by permissions, so each user sees own site structure and no exhibition that user does not have permission for is never shown. Click anything in the map and you get there.
Every item is CSS class, so anything from bullets to items can be make to look as needed. There is a mechanism to limit maximum number of exhibitions shown per group (more... link is added). Mouseover shows photo count. Note that you can also add links to the site structure - only restriction with them is that in order for them to show the level has to have exhibition(s).

5. Gallery map - fixed size thumbs
You can see the gallery map with images, too. There are some broken images there
Photo name listing looks like this: you just get to see photo names in place of thumbs. You can choose which output is shown as default. There are some empty groups there (test).

6. Comment browser
Comment browser is for browsing comments. The same code can be used anywhere in EE, in news pages, in photo pages - there are ways to manipulate output from templates, in photo page you do not see page selection, photo titles and thumbnail - you get X number of commens and can get the rest in here, showing only commens for that photo. Maximum number of columns is controlled from template. It is totally dynamic by design.
Styling is still not complete (top part dropdowns, thumb sizes etc.). I try to invent new ways to break the monotony of long listings. This template adjusts dynamically to page width as all templates in EE, and it has intelligence to alter layout when there is less data.

Nice Job Pekka, I can't wait

I just have one question?

If we are currentlu running 1.54, will the next version upgrade from it and keep all data sorted out, or will this be a full clean install?

I just do not want to re upload 5000 photos

Excellent, I will allow you to wait until next week for the release. (My office is currently undergoing a remodel) In the meantime if you could manage some details (pics) of user created galleries I would love it. Look forward to downloading and hitting the donate button.
