Canon DSLR Speed Challenge # 266: Festive
I liked this topic much and I won only because I had the only entry (not really a win) so I thought I'd keep the same theme. Thanks Maureen for the great topic.
This should be a pretty easy topic; everywhere you look there are lights, decorations & parties. I hope you push yourself tho and make your entry a bit unique. And have fun!

Standard Rules apply:

Photo Submissions:

1. Camera - Any Canon DSLR Camera
2. Time - any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size - Externally linked, or embedded image up to 150kb and 1024 on the long dimension Please visit Image Posting Rules for more info.
4. Post-Processing - do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting -
- ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
- Photo Name in the message subject line.
- Camera model & lens used.
- Notes: post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
- Also include a brief description of the flash technique used for this challenge.
6. Commenting - No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner has been declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have FUN!

One challenge every week, on the following schedule:

* New Topic - After winner is declared.
* Posting Starts - Right after topic is announced.
* Posting Ends - 6:00 p.m. Central Time Saturday, Dec.15th.
* Winner from this competition decides the theme of the next one (and judges it for a winner) after this competition is closed.

Ok its closed and the winner is Jason...

With Mo and MSJD tied as a close second....

Caught a moment there J. It feels real and festive to me. Not that the others don't just thought that you best caught the spirit of the challenge anyway to me.

Congrats, Jason! That was a nice shot. Mo, your house is very festive indeed! Thanks for the comment on my kitty. He was a pretty good sport about it, though that shot is a little old.

Fun challenge Allen!

Thank you Allen, and congrats to Mo and Jean-Guy as well. Very cheery set from everyone!

As for the next challenge, here's how it's going down:

I will post a new challenge tomorrow, and it will run for 10 days. Reason: I'm having both of my knees replaced this Monday, and I'll be in captivity for 3 days. I should be home by Friday, but working at the computer may be a challenge early on so will let the next challenge run for several extra days.

Thanks!

That ain't gonna happen anytime soon...;)

Seriously, thank you. It's all going to go well, I've got the pros working on me. Bummer thing though, my surgery has been scheduled for 12pm...that means no food or drink for 12 hours. Oh well.
