Have a ball mate. Wild horses couldn't drag me to Silverstone for anything F1 related!

There probably won't be a heck of a lot to see at Silverstone next week.

The weather is getting worse. According to the beeb Towcester will probably have snow showers on Monday, whilst tuesday might be dry but with poor visibiilty.

---- hang on ignore that, the forecst has changed slightly,

okay.. Monday at the moment sunny, with a max temp of 5* and moderate visibility
Tuesday, cloudy with a max temp of 4* and moderate visibility.

Teams? well Super Aguri plan to be there, and I dare say they will be even if it snows because they need to debut their new bodywork package before shipping it out to Bahrain. And a fellow photographer chap who is normally very reliable and spot on with these things says Renault, Honda and Midland will be there.

If the current forcast turns out to be reasonably accurate, that will probably be true, since it's also cold and wet at Barcelona, and the teams have been putting in good milage there. IT's only a couple of degrees colder over here, so there is a chance we will get to see some reasonable milage, but to be honest I feel Renault, Honda and Midland will probably concentrate on final shakedowns and pitstop practise.

I will be there both days, as media.

Interesting point about the V8, I remember in September being struck at how much more like a V10 Panis's Toyota V8 Sounded, yet the Merc in De la Rosa's Mclaren was a completely different sound, very deep, and quite booming.

I went to Jerez a couple of weeks ago, where it was mostly V8's and they sounded different again. Trackside they are definitely quiter, and they don't scream at you like the V10's did... but bring back V12's I say.

Luffield is a also a fair point, if some of you guys are planning on going as public, it probably isn't worth going unless you can sweet talk some kind of hospitality or access, because there isn't likely to any burger vans about, you'd only have Luffield and Bridge to view from, and the only chance to warm up after freezing your balls off is the perhapps the little silverstone club house building behind the exit of luffield, and guess what, you can't even seee the track from there because a ugly grandstand blocks it.

That was the German grenade rattling in the Merc block making that deep booming noise

Do the jobs for wife. Save up some Brownie points for when you want to go and see some proper motorsport with real race cars which have racing drivers in them.

Just learnt that Monday has been cancelled.

Tuesday is still on, but only have Aguri and Midland on the books. So unless you're media or have privilaged access, it's probably not worth going to stand about freezing off your balls at Luffield all day.

A lot of the teams are still testing V10s apparently, and some may be running them this year, but rev limited. That's what I've heard anyway, not sure how true it is...

Roll on Sunseeker....can't wait now
