Default Post your Bichon Frise photos here

As there seems to be several forum members with Bichon Frises, I thought that I would start a thread to show off these friendly dogs. I've posted one of "Meko" already in my Roslin Glen, Scotland thread, but here are another two.

1. Meko in the Garden

2. Meko watching TV. A bit of Photoshop fiddling of the above photo, but he was actually watching Crufts (UK Dog competition) briefly. The only other time he has ever bothered with the TV was when Gollum was speaking on one of the Lord of the Rings films.

Ok, I'm in. I could not resist to post three pics.

The first describes the nature or our Bichon well; when ever there is something to eat, she's on the spot.

And after a good meal there is time for rest.

.. and after good rest, it's time to play ...

Thanks for starting this thread, John!

Nice shots Olli, although I'm curious as to what was about to happen in number 3!

Here's one of Meko getting comfortable:

These are neat shots, and I especially like the first two. As to the third one, you must have been brushing for ages to get his hair like that.

This one cracks me up, because our Bichon spends a great deal of his time "up-ended" like that. It's part of his temperature regulation system. First, he lays on the marble floor, then if he's not cool enough, he'll roll over like that and sleep that way.
At night, I'll roll over, and all I see in the darkness is four feet pointing skyward in the middle of the bed in the dark.

Every single one of the photos is great!! I had a bichon for 16 1/2 years and we had to put him down. I miss him terribly, but am not allowed to get another dog. Everytime I see one on the street, I have to stop the owner so I can play. Seeing all these dogs makes me want to beg my landlord to allow dogs.

Sorry to hear about your dog aradia, but at least you had a good long time together. Welcome to the forums by the way.

This was what happened to Fred when I let him out to play with his ball in the snow. (Pre-haircut) The snow formed balls attached to his hair....I had to melt them off in the bath!

Kalapos - how do you manage to keep Freddie's hair looking so fluffy. A few minutes after spending hours on Meko, and he looks as scruffy as ever.
