I had to reload LR onto a new PC and ever since then, when I want to import files, they do not appear in the order that they were shot on the card. When I look at the files in Windows, they are in order.

Any ideas as to why?

In your library, on your toolbar, by the spray can is the sort order. Adjust it to order images by number or however you want.

In the Import dialog window there is also a sort order control at the bottom center.

Oh yeah... there too. My bad, I was thinking it was after the OP was done importing. Need to work on my reading skills.
