The new rumoured H1 camera with a new film stock emulation is an interesting direction for Fuji. Looks like they will be developing this more towards the movie side of things then they have done before. The new film emulation is Eterna, that is/was one of the main film stocks used by big budget movie makers. Movies like Captain Phillips where shot, mostly, on Eterna 250D and 500T so if those rumours are true it might be an interesting move from Fujifilm if you are into making a more cinematic looking output SOOC.

I assume that eterna will be something like cinestill film.
I bought 3 rolls a few months back. Haven't shot it as I'm waiting for the right environment .. but i n3ed to make a point of going out to shoot it at some point soon ..

Explore 600.
Ive been wanting to get one.. but what's holding me back is im also thinking about thinking about building a continuous lighting kit of some sort .
I have a pair of aputure 678(or572) if i remember correctly ive messed around with them som3 for still although mostly used for video..
They are a pain because of limit3d modifiers ..
But they make another one .. which I believe has same power output as LS1. ,that is bowens mount ..

..continous lighting isnt always very convenient , especially out of studio.. but i already have a pair of ad360's.. which are generally strong enough for out door use under the sun.. except maybe for full body shots. Under full blast mid day sun

The AD200 bundle is on sale at Adorama yet again. The new Pro remote for Fuji is not available yet though.

Xplor 600 is on sale for $429, hard to say no to that price if you do more stills.

I'm guessing that is not likely. Cine still has some unusual effects such creating a red halo around bright highlights. I don't think Fuji would do this with a film simulation. I would guess a more straight film-like simulation is more likely. I would be happy either way :).

To quote Fuji: Warm colors and smooth, consistent gradation enable extremely natural facial tones. Highly suitable for telecine transfer, ETERNA 250 can be used seamlessly with high-speed ETERNA 500.

That was about the motion picture film stock so we'll see how things work out in the digital reproduction of the classic modern film stock used is so many Hollywood movies over the years.

ah so maybe not so much like cinestill... now I want to got shoot the film .. but I have a roll of portra with twenty something frames still left in it.. that's the sucky part of film ..

from cinestill ..

"CineStill 800T is the only film made for still photographers specifically designed for capturing beautiful color images in limited incandescent "tungsten" light. This new high speed color film for still photography is converted to be compatible with any still photo lab processing from the same preferred film stock commonly used by today's top directors and cinematographers; including Steven Spielberg, Wes Anderson, Wally Pfister, Martin Scorsese, David O. Russell, The Coen Brothers, Emmanuel Lubezki and many many more. CineStill allows for that same unmatched image quality and cinematic look to be accessed by you!”

I've always enjoyed trying to give some of my pictures a cinematic look .. I got the Impression somehow that eterna was Fuji's attempt at that ...

Cinestil has an anti-halation layer stripped off which is part of the original Kodak formulation for the cinema film (otherwise it would mess up the C-41 chemicals at you regular developers), so it behaves differently. You get a red flare-like effect on highlights. I say flare-like because it is from the film itself, not the lens.

You've got some steady hands Kim! I never risk going below 1/100s when shooting anything where I'm moving  Even then it's often not enough! -?

Looking down an observation deck stairway at that park from my last shots.
