My wife just had a baby and also I have been doing a lot of league photography so I had not been doing much action photography lately. I had a chance to do some shooting at a practice game this weekend so I jumped at the chance. I tried to shoot JPG to see how it went and I ended up overexposing a lot of the images in an attempt to get the harsh shadows off the players' faces. I know this one is blown out but I like it and it was nice to do some fun shooting for a change.

Thanks. Shadow/Highlight filter would not have saved this one unfortunately.

Can you posted EXIF info??? Just curious to see what you used and why it was blown out. I do a ton of sports, including baseball. Lacrosse is my favorite these days.

The EXIF is available on the the image if you have viewExif loaded. The picture was shot Manual so it was my fault that it got blown out. I was experimenting with overexposing to get less shadows on the players' face but I over did it. They were shot JPG (another experiment) so I was not able to save this one yet I liked the action in it. Again, I am aware that the image is blown out and not very technically good.

Sageone,
You can download a Exif data tool for IE at:

http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/index.html (external link)

Works great!

Rick

PS. Install, reboot and then place mouse over picture in IE and right click...there will be a option Exif data display
