Tell wifey that it's a little-known fact that you've got to age the paint, preferably for several years, after purchasing it. But by then the color you selected will be out of style and you'll have wasted your money. You're way farther ahead financially leaving it as is.

B&W shot is nice...a bit washed out. I would have darkened it slightly so you don't loose the detail of that middle ball. Otherwise, good stuff.

I enjoyed both shots, but I have to go with the first one as well...it has a rustic feel to it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I told my wife she could paint it, I had to do some PS work. I'm sure that will be the end of that.
