Just a static photo of my old late 90's Tama Superstar kit taken with the 10-22 lens on my 50D. F3.5, ISO100, 8 second exposure, in my drum cave at home. Cropped to a minimal resolution to fit on the Sharing Section. :)

Nice kit! I have an old 80's generation Slingerland kit in storage. No room in my small house to put it up. It's a shame because I really miss playing them.

THANKS! Ahhh, Slingerland... Nice. :) I had a chromey Slingerland from the mid 70's until the early 90's. That's what I started out on at age 12. I've been loyal to Avedis Zildjian cymbals all these years. :)

Nice set. I have a late 80's Tama Granstar kit. Well actually 2-1/2 Granstar kits.

NICE!

I should take a pic of my set - prototype Camco made when TAMA bought the Camco name. All maple Keller shells and jazz sized. The really interesting part is the two bass drums are 18" and 20".

I switched to bass about 15 years ago but cannot talk myself into giving up my kit.

Cool shot. I have not been able to put my Tama set up since I moved to Texas in 2008. Cymbal bags are in the attic, stands and hardware are under the beds in the guest rooms and the shell set and snare collection are in my workshop. I miss playing sooooo much.

I too have Zildjians. I love the sound I get from them. I love my 13" hi hats and my 22" ride cymbal.

I have 2 Wuhan Lyon China cymbals as well. The guy I bought the kit from was a big Neil Peart fan and so am I so it was a perfect fit. I had more cymbals than drums. It was a truly cool kit.

4 Concert toms, 3 tom toms, 2 floor toms, bass drum, snare drum, and 2 timbales. And 14 cymbals total.

NICE LOOKING DRUMS! I love K's but somehow ended up with a set that is mostly Sabian HH's!

Can't believe this thread died so quickly. No one else here plays drums?

Well, here are some 35mm scans of my drums... Shot MANY moons ago with either my Pentax K1000 or my Olympus OM707. Scanned with my Nikon COOLSCAN V ED.

Setup in the living room

To me, these shots look no different to iPhone instagramed shots (except for the aspect ratio of course!)

They were shot in the 1990's probably with my Olympus OM 707 on Fuji film ISO 200. That was my film of choice back then and quite honestly those negatives have stood the test of time compared to the Kodak negatives that are stored in the same box. I still have the drums but they are in another state with my brother. Therefore I can't take any current photos of them.
