What kind of bag are you guys using while riding? I assume some sort of back pack. I want to bring my camera along but don't think my Crumpler Outpost is the right bag to bring along.

I use a hydrapak with large pocket. I rarely take my SLR on rides, unless thats why we are going for photos. then I pack in the lowpro dryzone with all my stuff, riding suffers but those days thats ok. Im looking at getting the powershot sx50 hs which is small enough and light enough to pack in the hydrapak. I haven't been brave enough to Bob trailer in all the lighting yet :lol: hope that helps

I'm looking to bring my D90 and my 35 1.8, so nothing too big or small. I do have a Crumpler 5MDH, so I might just throw that in my backpack and throw the camera in that.I havent actually ridden with a backpack on yet, so I dont know how comfortable it will be anyways. I'll have to test it out first before I buy anything.

Thanks for the info though. :)

Lately I've been using a F-Stop Loka. It's actually pretty good to mountain bike with, I don't mind it and I rarely notice it's even there which is saying a lot.

I also have a brand new Dakine Sequence for sale that I just posted in the classifieds on here, might be a cheap option. [/spam]

And, to offset my spam a pic from this past weekends Pro GRT race at Bootleg Canyon, NV

@dfinn
Nice shot from BC. I get out to Vegas pretty regularly, bu thaven't made it out to the canyon. How was the riding out there? I'm not much on screaming downhill, but love fast tech singletrack riding...

I think you'd really like it then. That was my first time there and I pretty much only rode the DH trails. I was there for the race so most of my runs were for practice and to get the lines figured out. From the sounds of it there's a bunch of really good non-DH trail riding there. Very loose and rocky. I have a bunch more pics hereexternal link if you want to see some more of the DH course.

riding with heavier gear does have an affect on riding, I hate riding with a pack, but I usually have to to carry all the needs of the trails here. I was recently looking into the Lowpro Photosport 100 pack for the camera ride days, looks like enough room for slr and a few parts, as well as other bits. After a photo seniar i went to last night I am really looking into the Powershot sx50 hs as a trail camera, its much lighter and smaller then my old xti and has much of the same features for a p&s, and with hotshoe i can run strobes. just gotta adapt to our situations best we can.

Great shots posted here!! here is mine:

Not really high impact like most of the photos that have been posted - but this shot is taken in South Africa during Expedition Africa. a 500km self navigation adventure race. The bag on the riders back is all compulsory gear.. massive weight for the ride ahead. This year it is in the Drakensburg mountains on the border of Lesotho.. hopefully we get snow!

Nice ride---I also have a Fuel EX! I just got it as a replacement for an old Fisher, and I must say that I am impressed with the new suspension tech. I can just blow over things that i would have had to ride around before.

Now, if only the snow would go away so things would dry out and I could ride again...
