Default NS Photos (Large Images)
I went railfanning on Thursday and saw 11 trains (which is a record for me in one day). I saw lots of foreign power; mostly UP, but also a FURX leaser and a Wisconsin Central unit.

-NS 236 being led by two UP units as it approaches Montgomery Tunnel. This one is for belmondo since I know how much he likes to see UP Wings



-NS 825 approaches Shawsville, with a "Top Hat" NS, UP, and Conrail locomotives in the consist.


-NS 184 with a "Stealth" GEVO in the consist.


-A westbound coal train through Montgomery with a Wisconsin Central locomtoive in the consist. The lighting was horrible for this shot, but I did the best I knew how in post-processing to make it o.k.

A nice set of images. Is the "stealth" GEVO part way through being repainted?

I think it is part of the way through it's first coat of paint.

Yeah, it was a real good day for foreign power. Well over half of the trains that came through had at least one UP unit in the consist.

Nice shots. Like the ES40DC in primer, get them while you can before they go black. Seems like a good day railfanning.

Thanks. After complaining on Tom W.'s thread about there not being much foreign power on NS lately, I got my wish. I was truly excited to see the two UP units leading a train and the Wisconsin Central unit completely made my day.

Even had some foreign power sitting at the local CSX yard. Taken with my PowerShot A520.

The heat plume in the first shot is awesome but I like all the pictures...
