I'm considering launching a line of "Gallery" prints that will all follow the basic layout seen here. A title, the aircraft and photography by yours truly. I'm hoping to offer them in only 20x30 and 24x36 at a fair price but not dirt cheap. Maybe roll out 1 to 2 per month using a mix of both new material and images from the archives that I feel meet pretty high standards.

So, I have a two pronged request from the POTN community...
1) Is the style pleasing? Would you frame this and hang it?
2) Is this image up to snuff?

I can tell you right now that I know this loses a little something over POTN's white background...

Thanks in advance to those who offer their thoughts and suggestions...

I'm going to be the usual POTN pain in the butt and say parts of both. I like the layout of the second and the font on the first one. I think the simple font is cleaner and more easy on the eye. In the second one I like that you separated your name in size and depth. Your credit line is still prominent enough but not so in your face that it might not turn off the casual purchaser.

I agree with Gonzo, except for some reason I don't like the comment marks " ". They just don't look right to me, but that could just be my warped mind. The rest of it looks great and wall worthy.

The quotation marks were suggested by a third party as a way to accentuate the fact that it is, in fact, a title.

I'm inclined to agree although italics were also suggested and I don't think I'm going to go there...

No italics. Perhaps change the quotation marks to a smaller font.

I have to agree with the above, fonts of 1, style of 2, and lose the quotes. Otherwise everything looks ready to hang on the wall.

Version 3 for sure. Although I am still in favor of the cooler tones on the plane. I gives it a different bit of pop.

Was pointed out elsewhere that the mismatch in wb made it look "shopped"

Guess it depends on your target audience. Heavy "shoppers" would notice that, average photo viewers would just say wow.

Call me an average photos viewer then. :-)

I'm still up in the air (no pun intended) about the quotation marks. I think it's impled that UNTIL THEY ALL COME HOME is the title of the photo. Unless it's a specific quote spoken by a B-17 pilot that holds some significance I would be inclined to remove them.
