Default Neck strap / Wrist strap

Hello:

I do not like the neckstrap that comes with the G3.... It looks cheap and feels cheap. Not a good advert for a quality product.

It's far too short for my 190 cm (6'3") frame. I can't see the LCD without contorting myself.

Enough moaning...

Three questions:

Is a wrist strap better than a neckstrap?

If so, where can I get a wrist strap?

If not, what neckstrap do you recommend?

Regards,

John

The best neck strap is the one that fist. Being taller myself, I went to local camera store and tried about every one they have. Only way I found one... I would recommend one that does not use "keychain rings" to connect. They are annoying.

Good luck.

Yes, the quest for a good strap can make photography something of a headache! Try to locate a place that sells Domke straps. Their Canon Pro strap is dark green and brown leather. The shoulder section detaches and you can use the camera sections as a hand strap or attach the straps to a Domke photo vest. Have a look.
