Flower shots

A couple of flower shots for critique. Shot at 50mm with 15mm extension tube and 3.5 or 4 apperature. iso 100. 1/100 and 1/125 of second. Processed in acr and ps. What do you think of the shots? Too dark?

The first one looks good to me. The second seems a little dark.

Thanks. I realized after I posted this that the second one I forgot to adjust the white balance while processing, and then I didn't lighten it like I did the first one.

I think you need a wider dof when shooting with tubes. Not enough of the whole bloom is in focus. Nice lighting, though.

How about this one? It is a bit lighter, but I'm concerned it is too bright.

Would you be so kind to link to your extention tubes?

I like the first one for a couple reasons. The exposure is good, its mostly in focus where you are looking.

#3 is a little too bright for me and you might try sharpening it a bit after darkening it.

Thanks for the critiques. I'm still not 100% happy with my results, but am getting a little closer. The tubes are cheapo fotodiox tubes. Can be found on amazon. I think they were like $10.

I redid the first shot and learned what they are called. Gerber Daisy.

I don't know why, but I like the flower facing this way better.
